The first democratic revolution of the tewntieth centure in 1936 took place in Iran which had a large and strong participation from women, historians have written so much but alas that the triumphant constituanalists forgot our participation and hence when the constitution was written women did not have the right to participate in the election, the same election that women sold their belongigns and presented it to the revolutioneries. The victorious men not only did not accept women’s participation in the national government but also they did not want women to have any decision making role in the family....

Continued struggle of women resulted in decreasing unequality by a small measure at the time of Pahlavi dynasty (Mohamad Reza shah). But women who had become more aware than before, knew that only under a democratic government can they achive real equality, so hence this time the struggle was for democracy and different political groups set forward by means of what was thought would achive freedom and equality. During which hundreds of women to end the phlavy dynasti ended up in prisons and some lost their lives

the struggle resulted in the fall of the shah in 1979 and this time too the victorious revolutioneries forgott the struggle of women and seven month after the victory of the revolution, even before the ratification of the constitution in the revolutionary council with the excuse of eliminating the ways of the old regime, all of the achivements by women during the second pahlavy dynasty was lost. Not only plurality became legal and mothers lost the right of guardianship but after a few month a new law ratified that alimony for women is half of what it is for men and in the court of law 2 women are equal to 1 man.
